It was during this time I learned a lot more about myself. Consistency became the critical factor in my transformation. After retiring while on top, I had decided to become a personal trainer, and so my journey began. Since then, I have earned multiple certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Academy of Sports Medicine, the American Council on Exercise, in addition to earning a bachelor’s in Health and Wellness with a minor in Health Psychology from Ashford University.

Kristine has trained my son, who is on the spectrum, and me for a number of years. She has an extraordinary ability to tailor the workout programs to our very different needs. Kristine is very attuned to our objectives and knowledgeable about the exercises needed to accomplish them. She is at once disciplined and unfailingly encouraging and positive. We’ve gotten great results and had a lot fun. I highly recommend training with Kristine.
I’ve been working with Kristine, in personal training and in classes, since 2005. I truly enjoy working with her. I’ve benefited from our program together, doing strength, balance, and more, as she helps keep my 66-year old body in good condition. I’d recommend her enthusiastically to anyone.
For someone who needs a professional to work with a special needs client, a teen, or an older adult, I’d especially endorse her, but more on that later.
She’s always fun, motivational, and really a delight to work with. She’s creative and keeps the sessions fresh, which might be why her classes at the gym (spin, aqua, boot camp) filled up so quickly. People know they’ll get a great workout and have a great time.
Kristine is always on time, and she’s an excellent communicator. We talk about the new things she’s learning to bring more to our sessions, so I know she’s committed to continually being better. We’ve worked together even when I was doing physical therapy.
Kristine has the knowledge, and much more importantly, the patience and compassion, to work with people who aren’t 30 years old and fit. I’m a woman of a certain age, as they say, and I feel I’m in good hands with Kristine.
Ten years together has shown me that Kristine has the empathy to help a kid with special needs, a teen who’s got other stuff going on, or a senior who needs a different pace.
Yeah, she’s peppy and jumps around and even giggles a bit, but I’ve also witnessed her deep compassion for others. She has supported others in hard ways, which makes me think she’s the right choice if you’re trying to help someone who needs a little more than most.
With this note, I hope I’m helping Kristine and also that I’m helping whoever is reading this. I think Kristine is delightful, talented, and special, so I give you my heartfelt recommendation to work with her.
We’ve stripped away the boring bits and kept what counts. You’ll get your hands on real equipment, tackle real-world scenarios, and walk away actually remembering what you learned. Plus, you can choose between in-person sessions (where you’ll practice with actual people, not just mannequins) or online classes if that’s more your speed.
The best part? Once you’ve nailed it, you’ll get a certification that keeps the OSHA folks happy for two whole years. It’s not just about checking boxes though – it’s about knowing that when someone needs help, you’ll be ready.
Time to turn your workplace into a safer space. Because let’s face it: heroes don’t always wear capes. Sometimes they just know CPR.
